Burgas needs its own “Shared Student Stage” to provide a space for young people to interact and creatе. This and many other ideas were discussed by participants at the First Youth Conference on Theater and Film, organized by the National Academy of Theater and Film Arts “Krastyo Sarafov”, with the support of the Burgas 2032 Foundation.
The forum was part of the extensive program of DREAM FEST—the Student Film and Theater Forum—and was held at the International Congress Center in Burgas.
Students, artists, faculty members, representatives of cultural and educational institutions, and local and national government officials discussed the opportunities available to young people today, and the ideas that could become reality tomorrow.
Discussion panels, roundtables, creative workshops, and master classes in the conference program addressed topics such as the participation of young people in Burgas’s cultural strategy, the symbiosis between art and education, and the city’s natural transformation into a cultural and educational center of national significance.
The conference brought together representatives from NATFA, the National Academy of Music, the National Academy of Fine Arts, Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, and Burgas State University “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov”, who laid the groundwork for fresh youth initiatives in the cultural life of Burgas and beyond.
This is just the beginning….
The DREAM FEST program, and the First Youth Conference on Theater and Film, run through September 12, and admission to all events is free!
